Acupuncture for Back Pain
NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) has recommended that acupuncture be made available on the NHS for chronic lower back pain.
Traditional acupuncture has been used for over 2,000 years to alleviate back pain in Eastern cultures. It is only in recent years here in the West that acupuncture has begun to feature more prominently in mainstream healthcare. The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) views these guidelines as 'a rubber stamp on the positive work already being undertaken as well as an endorsement of the wealth of research evidence now available in this area'.
Jody see's many people in her clinics for back pain, acute and chronic. For more information on the research into this area take a look the fact sheet prepared by the British Acupuncture Council on back pain and sciatica.
Acupuncture practice serving people from Hertford, Ware, Broxbourne, Stevenage, Hatfield
I have been practicing acupuncture in Hertford and Broxbourne for nearly 20 years. Working solely from Hertford now I have a beautiful, peaceful room at The Secret Space. I see people with a diverse range of issues from all over East Herts; from back pain to stress and digestive problems. Women’s health issues are an area of passion for me and I love seeing women through the different transitions of womanhood, whether it be menstrual issues, fertility, pregnancy, or menopause.
